Who created this message?

Draftkings is an online gambling site where players can make bets as long as gambling is legal within your state and Draftkings is approved to provide this service.

What creative techniques are used to attract my attention?

Free money.....quickly! New customers are given $200 free for signing up and making a small wager ($5 minimum). In turn, new customers are given $200 in "free wagers" but the catch is that you cannot just take the $200 out of your account. You have to wager the $200 (usually within 7 days) and you can keep the profits from the wager if you win (hard to do).

How might different people interpret this message differently than me?

Some people might see this advertisement as an opportunity to get "free money" but these companies are very clever in how they deliver the message of "free $200" but make it, fairly, difficult to get as you have to WIN in order to cash in your money.

What viewpoints or world views are included or left out of this message?

Gambling is very difficult to win at (as some of us know) but this is a good way to get people to try your services and the $200 could be a "drop in the bucket" if they can get carefree wagerers to begin and then continue to make bets through their sportsbook apps.

Why is this message being sent?

Sports are important to a lot of people and it's fun to have a "couple of bucks" on a game and what better way to place money on a couple of games than to use someone else's money? However, the idea is to get you trying it and then casually continue....
